So after an absolutely serene week we are back home to palm trees, 100% humidity and work! But to be completely honest; even though I already miss the mountains in the horizon and the epic sunsets, it is certainly nice to wake up in our own bed. Hope everyone is having a great week!
I hope everyone’s week is off to a good start! After what felt like an epic (13 hour) drive we made it to our cabin in the early Sunday hours. Our day yesterday was spent relaxing, playing games and singing along to my day’s guitar playing. It’s amazing being reunited with all of our loved ones! The plan for today is an Elvis Museum in a nearby town…I’ll keep the photos coming but until then I wish you all a beautiful Monday!
My outfit plans for the day…
Cowboy hat purchased at H&M, dress by Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply
I’m a huge fan of clutches both for daytime and nighttime. The Bali pouch from Anthropologie is the perfect size and would add the right amount of personality and color to any outfit. What do you think, is it a must??
With time I’m learning the art of traveling light. After a short stint in over-packers anonymous I’ve learned to recognize I have a problem and I’m doing my best to walk the line. Planning is the key, I’ve always marveled at those that are able to pick outfits the night before be it for work or date night since I would certainly consider myself quite the moody dresser. Well no more of that, my poor arms can’t take another 70 lb. suitcase needing to be lugged from one destination to another. So for our Tennessee trip this weekend I’ve decided to keep it simple…just bring lightweight, neutral basics and spice them up with accessories. Think this:
Denim / Paige Tee / Theyskens’ Theory Espadrilles / J. Crew Hat / Rag & Bone Ring / YSL. Reading Material / Grace Sunnies / Oliver Peoples (similar)
It’s been a while since our last vacation, too long actually. Our wedding getaway in Vegas definitely counts but even that was 7 months ago! So I’m beyond happy my sister in law (just sister in my book) decided to plan a family vacation for us. Mike’s family lives in PA which means we only get to see each other a few times a year so family trips like these are much needed. I also love the fact that she decided on a cabin in Gatlingburg, TN with an awesome view of the smokies and a kitchen begging for delicious family dinners. It’s needless to say I’ll be bringing my camera and every lens I own. Now packing….that’s another story. What to bring???
In just 4 days we’ll be here!
