NYFW Recap

New York Fashion Week is coming to a close so I thought it would be fun to take a look back at all the gorgeous pieces presented and the trends we will be seeing popping up all over the place…Lets just say we have a lot to look forward to come Spring/ Summer 2014.

Crop Tops still rule! I love the proportion a crop top and a high waisted skirt or trouser create. So flattering!

White Out Head to toe white will continue to transition through the seasons and I’m thrilled. It’s so crisp and classic.

Pastels Although they can be a bit expected of Spring, I feel like Pastels are great wardrobe staples and look super feminine. Just be careful to not overdo it, while monochrome looks are cool and very in, you don’t want to look like a Laduree macaron 😝.

Back to Basics Navy blazers, white shirts and shift dresses get a fresh makeover and I’m a huge fan!

What is your favorite Spring trend???

What I’m reading…

Read it here!

It’s that time of year…THE September issue is out and filled with little gems. I was so happy to come across this article. Not only do I love everything fashion design but the history of Balenciaga is amazing and Alexander Wang is an absolute genius.

Hello from…

I hope everyone’s week is off to a good start! After what felt like an epic (13 hour) drive we made it to our cabin in the early Sunday hours. Our day yesterday was spent relaxing, playing games and singing along to my day’s guitar playing. It’s amazing being reunited with all of our loved ones! The plan for today is an Elvis Museum in a nearby town…I’ll keep the photos coming but until then I wish you all a beautiful Monday!

Keep it cool

With time I’m learning the art of traveling light. After a short stint in over-packers anonymous I’ve learned to recognize I have a problem and I’m doing my best to walk the line. Planning is the key, I’ve always marveled at those that are able to pick outfits the night before be it for work or date night since I would certainly consider myself quite the moody dresser. Well no more of that, my poor arms can’t take another 70 lb. suitcase needing to be lugged from one destination to another. So for our Tennessee trip this weekend I’ve decided to keep it simple…just bring lightweight, neutral basics and spice them up with accessories. Think this:

Denim / Paige Tee / Theyskens’ Theory Espadrilles / J. Crew Hat / Rag & Bone Ring / YSL. Reading Material / Grace Sunnies / Oliver Peoples (similar)

Any suggestions?
